Hello and welcome to our site. Here you can learn Excel VBA from very basics. Dont think back and start learning. We assume that you don’t have any experience in coding and teach you from basics.

First off all what is Excel VBA?

VBA stands for Visual Basic for Applications. It is a programming language using which one can get command on everything in Excel. By learning VBA you can expertise Excel and place yourself in forefront of many competitions.



A macro is just a piece of computer code, that is written for Excel, using the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language. 

You might not be knowing that you can built your own function in Excel for certain task. One does this by writing macros and then adding this macros to Excel function menu.Then you can use it in the same way as built in functions.

What are Course Requisites?

As mention already we don’t expect any programming skills from learner.Just a basics of Excel will do it.

Which version of software do I need?

You need  Excel 2007 or newer version of MS Excel to do this course.


How much time one should spend for VBA?

It depends on your requirement.It has 40 lessons and each one can take atmost of 30 minutes.


INTRODUCING THE DEVELOPER TOOLBAR TO EXCEL



To open Visual Baic Editor , run macros and record macros first of all we need to add  Developer tab to the Excel Ribbon. Follow the instructions to add Developer tab.

IN EXCEL 2007:

1) Click on the Office button.
2) Click on Excel Options at the bottom of the dialogue box.
3) Then click on the Popular option in the left of the dialogue box.
4) Tick the “Show Developer tab in the Ribbon” option in the section of “Top options for working with Excel”.

IN EXCEL 2010 AND 2013:

1) Click on the File menu.
2) Select Options.
3) Click on “Customize Ribbon” from the menu.
4) Then on right side you can see a box with two option
               i) Choose commands from
              ii) Customize the Ribbon.
5) Under “Customize the Ribbon”,select the “Main Tabs” and then check for  “Developer”.

When you click on the Developer tab in Ribbon you can see like this. Don’t worry if you cant locate some options.The options vary from version to version.

The next immediate step you should take is click on the Macro Security option in the code panel of Developer tab.(See the above image).Then select the option of “Enable all macros”. Then select “Trust access to the VBA object model”.
